Electrical equipment supply — refinery Clean Fuels Project, Kuwait

Switchgear, transformers and motor supply for a Clean Fuels Project unit at a major refinery in Al-Ahmadi, Kuwait.

Our role
Electrical balance-of-plant supplier for one unit of the Clean Fuels Project.
The challenge

What we walked into.

The unit specification covered 22 transformers (up to 30 MVA), 18 MCC sections, 4 medium-voltage switchgear lineups, and 180+ motors ranging from 5 kW to 6 MW. All to API and IEEE standards with specific buyer-named manufacturers.
Approach

How we delivered.

  1. 01Pre-qualified each equipment manufacturer against the buyer's approved-vendor list and engineering specification.
  2. 02Conducted factory acceptance testing at each manufacturer's facility with the buyer's witness.
  3. 03Managed packaging, marine insurance and consolidated delivery to Shuwaikh Port.
  4. 04Coordinated post-delivery technical support with the manufacturers.
Outcome

What changed.

All equipment delivered against EPC schedule.
100% factory acceptance pass rate.
Zero buyer-rejection on receipt.
