1. Modes
Sea freight — the default for heavy plant and bulk orders. Typical transit from Asia to MENA is 20–35 days, plus customs clearance and inland transport.
Air freight — for urgent spares and time-critical shipments. Typical transit 5–10 days, but materially more expensive.
Land routes — into Iraq via Turkey or Jordan, into Saudi Arabia via the UAE land border, where appropriate.
2. Incoterms®
Our standard quotations are issued on FOB or CIF terms. We can also quote on EXW, FAS, CFR, CPT, CIP, DAP, DPU and DDP basis on request. The applicable Incoterm® and version (2020) is stated on every quotation.
3. Packaging
We use industrial-grade packaging by default: original manufacturer cartons where available; otherwise, sturdy wooden crates with internal foam, corner protectors, and moisture-proof wrapping for sensitive electronics. Hazardous-area equipment ships with required UN packaging.
4. Documentation
Every shipment ships with: commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, bill of lading or airway bill, technical datasheets, certificate of authenticity, inspection report (if applicable), and manufacturer warranty documentation.
5. Customs clearance
We work with experienced clearing agents in major MENA ports (Umm Qasr, Jebel Ali, Khalifa Port, Jeddah, Damietta, Aqaba, Port Sokhna, Sohar, Tanger Med). For complex shipments we coordinate document pre-clearance to shorten in-country wait times.
6. Insurance
Marine insurance (all-risks) is included on CIF quotations and optional on FOB quotations. Insured value covers 110% of the invoice value as standard.
7. Lead times
In-stock items: 7–14 business days to ship from China.
Made-to-order or specialised equipment: 4–12 weeks from order confirmation.
Project EPC equipment: per project schedule.
8. Tracking
We provide tracking numbers and ETA updates on every shipment, and we will proactively notify you of any delay before it impacts your project.
